I’m not quite ready to set my goals for 2013, but I am ready to share a bit of my race calendar, including 4 goal races that I am now officially registered for!
February 10, 2013 – Vancouver First Half – Vancouver, BC
April 14, 2013 – Whidbey Island Marathon – Oak Harbour, WA
July 13, 2013 – KneeKnacker – 50 KM Ultra – Vancouver, BC
August 10, 2013 – Squamish 50 – 50 KM Ultra – Squamish, BC
September 1, 2013 – Meet Your Maker – 50 Mile Ultra – Whistler, BC
Yes, I realize the list has FIVE races not 4, but the KneeKnacker is a lottery, that I won’t find out the results from until March. I’ll run all 5 if I get in, with KK as my goal 50K, and if I don’t get in, then Squamish 50 becomes my goal 50K – Kapeesh?
And yes, you did read the list right, I am committing to a 50 MILER, and not even an easy 50 Miler (I don’t know if easy & 50Miler can go hand in hand, but this definitely is a HARD course)…YIKES. But, let’s talk about MYM later on in the year. First off, let’s get my goal road races out of the way! And no, I’m not telling you my goal times, but let’s just say I’m looking for a solid PR in both the half and the full. We’ll discuss more later!
