Whole 30 – Day 15

Tonight marks the end of the first half of my Whole30 challenge!  I have successfully eaten only real food for the past 15 days!!  I have read my labels, turned down everything processed or with added sugars.  Realistically, it’s not THAT different from my everyday diet, just with more care and attention to details, and no cheats.  I’m happy to say that the first 15 days have been good for me.  I’m happy to be doing this challenge, and happy to say I’m halfway through it!

Not everyday is easy, but it is more easy than it is hard.  I am thankful I have friends to reaffirm my positive choices, and keep me on track when all I want after finishing running is a Starbucks latte.  You are never forced to eat bad food, all of the food you put into your mouth is a choice.  Planning ahead and making smart choices is the key to Whole30.

Here goes another 15 days!

xoxo

Has there been any notable difference in weight, body fat, sleep or aggravation levels?

      Hey Gary,

I overall feel really good. Aggravation wise – I didn’t experience the same “withdrawal” that I did when I originally cut out complex carbs, refined grains, and cut down on sugar. I actually expected the withdrawal to be worse with going 100% no sugar. In 2 weeks, I’ve lost about 2 lbs, and I’ve been sleeping quite well, especially compared to in January. So, overall, I feel really good.

  2. Congratulations! I’ve really been wanting to switch to a healthier diet but have yet to take the plunge. It’s the dairy piece that I think is getting me. I might just start this though.

I would definitely recommend buying the book and giving it a read. I learned a lot, and I thought I was fairly knowledgable when it came to “paleo”. I’m really enjoying my Whole30, even on Day 21!
