Here we are, day 15 is in the bag, and I’m officially halfway through my Whole 30. I’m sure you’re wondering how I’m doing, especially since I had a crazy busy weekend of race directing the 5 Peaks Alice Lake race, and co-hosting my elementary school bestie’s bridal shower. And we all know what kind of food you find at showers….
So, how’d I do? First, let’s take a moment to just check out this view. This is at the top of the Sea to Sky Gondola. We took a quick ride up to the top on Saturday post race and were so impressed. Definitely put it on the must-do list.
I resisted the devils of coffee on the drive to Squamish and Sunday’s spread of delicious treats like 7 layer dip, and homemade mini cupcakes. I didn’t cheat at all, even a little bit!! I’m actually super proud of this. I was swamped all weekend, and it would’ve been SO easy to fall into unhealthy habits so many times this weekend. But, I planned ahead, brought appropriate choices, and most importantly had will power and just said no.
I don’t have terribly much else to say, I just wanted to update you on my progress, and how I’m doing. I’m at 165.5 lbs as well, so that’s about 7 lbs down from starting, and I feel really good. I’m waking up easier (except of course Saturday’s super early alarm), and for the most part I feel super healthy.
I need to lose a bit more weight to make my bridesmaid dress fit comfortably, so I’m also doing a Dietbet, which actually starts tomorrow! It’s a $30 bet and it’s not too late to join! I’m excited for the extra push, since I’ve got a wedding in 33 days to attend! I’ll leave you with this photo of myself and the beautiful bride from yesterday :
I feel good and ready to tackle the last 15 days. Upcoming obstacles? Family dinner next weekend that will not be Whole 30 friendly, and then it’s pretty much smooth sailing until right before Alla’s stagette. Talk about good timing, eh?
