I got spoiled yesterday with a great day, and started off today on the same note. Candice ran and crushed her first 50Miler at TNF SF a few weeks ago, coming in just under 12 hours, while she went into the race scared of cutoffs (14+ hours). Killed it. And she’s going to be writing us a guest post on her experience soon too, so stay tuned. Anyways, she took a couple weeks off running, and this morning was her first time back on trails, and we just went for a little run, checked out where exactly trails and closed and got to catch up properly.
Guys, I’ve ran the last 7 days in a row!! Whoa. I honestly can’t tell you the last time I did that. Maybe last November, the last time I did the run streak? I don’t know. It’s seriously crazy to think about it for me, because I’ve felt so injured and so hopeless for really the past year. And even last November when we run streaked, I struggled with my feet. Right now, my feet feel pretty good. A bit sore and tired after runs, yes, but not sore during the runs, which is a major improvement. Majorrrrrrrrrr.
I don’t really have much to say today, and I wouldn’t be blogging if I hadn’t committed to blogging every day in December, but since I have to write, I might as well tell you how I’m feeling, since that’s why I blog in the first place.
Yesterday was Day 2 of the #BeastStreak and in actuality, it was Day 4 of my runstreak, since I ran Saturday and Sunday before deciding to do a December streak. It wasn’t easy to get myself out the door, but I asked Nikita if she wanted to go in the woods, and she was gungho, so we (me) decided to head into our local woods for a quick little romp.

Welcome to December! At the start of November, I challenged my friends, family, and readers to a November Streaking Challenge, to run a minimum of 3K every day, for 30 days.
59 peeps committed to the challenge, and while we lost some along the way, and some never even filled in the form, so we don’t really know what happened to them, there was some soldiers that made it through the whole darn month. A whole 22 of us, if my spreadsheet is to be believed. More than 1/3 of the people powered through and slayed the challenge!!
I said I might have a few random prizes for those who complete the challenge, and I did not disappoint! So, let’s get down to the details of what we accomplished in this month of streaking (and who won stuff!!)
